In a surprising move, Telugu superstar Ram Charan, known for his mass appeal, has reportedly taken a pay cut for his upcoming big-budget film, Game Changer. The action-packed drama, which marks Ram Charan’s first collaboration with acclaimed director S. Shankar, has already generated immense excitement among fans. Shankar’s impressive directorial portfolio, including blockbuster hits like Indian and 2.0, has raised expectations for this highly anticipated project.

Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan along with Kiara Advani, has generated buzz for its grand production, particularly its lavish music budget. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, a whopping Rs 75 crore has been allocated for the film’s music, which comprises just four songs. Despite the film’s massive scale, the lead actors’ remuneration is relatively modest, sparking curiosity among fans and industry insiders alike.

According to reports by Great Andhra, Ram Charan has taken a salary of Rs 65 crore for the upcoming film, a reduced amount considering his global fame following the success of RRR. The report further disclosed that director S. Shankar received a hefty sum of Rs 35 crore for directing the film. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani, the film’s leading lady, is reportedly earning a substantial Rs 5-7 crore for her role.

His reduced fee of Rs 65 crore surpasses Jr NTR’s earnings for Devara, which reportedly stands at Rs 60 crore. Kartik Aaryan, on the other hand, has reportedly increased his fee to Rs 40 crore after his recent successes. Ranveer Singh reportedly charges between Rs 40-60 crore per project. KGF star Yash is reportedly commanding a whopping Rs 50 crore to play the role of Raavan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.

Meanwhile, the makers recently unveiled the Game Changer trailer in Hyderabad, which was attended by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on January 10, 2025.
