Dramatic pictures show smashed bus stop destroyed in crash

The collision on Iffley Road in Oxford happened last night (December 19).

Pictures taken this morning show shattered glass on the pavement and the crumpled structure near James Street taped off by police.

A nearby tree was also damaged in the crash.

Thames Valley Police has been contacted for more information.

It comes after an electric car flipped on its roof after witnesses said it appeared to have hit a tree on Iffley Road on Sunday (December 15).

Emergency services attended and the road was closed in both directions between the Magdalen Arms pub and Stanley Road.
